AURORA, Ill. – Cornell senior goalie
Thomas Cook matched his career high with 27 saves in Wednesday's 19-4 men's lacrosse loss to NACC preseason favorite Aurora at Spartan Athletic Complex.
Cook came within two saves of the program's single-game record, despite sitting out the final eight minutes of regulation. He also led the Rams with 10 ground balls in the contest.
The Rams (4-4 overall, 1-2 NACC) were held scoreless in the opening half as first-place Aurora (3-5 overall, 3-0 NACC) built a 10-0 lead at intermission.
Brandon Warnke's unassisted goal put Cornell on the scoreboard with 9:06 remaining in the third period.

Matt Norwood and
Aron Rodriguez each netted a goal in the fourth period for Cornell. Warnke added one assist.
Zach Arnold accounted for three caused turnovers.
Ben Wojewski won 11 faceoffs and collected five ground balls.
Aurora outshot the Rams, 66-23, and took advantage of 31 Cornell turnovers.
