MOUNT VERNON – Cornell men's lacrosse faced a tough Benedictine team on Wednesday at Van Metre Field at Ash Park. A big second quarter by the Eagles proved to be to much for the Rams to overcome as they fell 8-3.

Charley Kobets picked up his ninth assist of the year on Weaver's goal.
The Eagles (3-8 overall, 2-4 NACC) took advantage of the wind at their back in the second quarter, as they scored five unanswered goals to take a half-time lead of 5-1.
Cornell (4-6 overall, 1-4 NACC) scored early in the third quarter on a goal by
Landon Card to pull within three of the Eagles. Benedictine answered with two of their own goals to go up by five. Junior
