JOHNSTON – Cornell junior Jack Carlson received a first-place award at the Iowa Broadcast News Association Banquet Saturday night at Stone Creek Inn.
Carlson won the category of Student TV Sports Play-by-Play for his clip of the Cornell-Lake Forest men's basketball game on Dec. 7, 2024.
Carlson was among three finalists for the award, which included Knight Vision's Wartburg football (second place) and Knight Vision's Wartburg men's basketball (third place).
Carlson has been the student voice of the Rams on home athletics live streams since his arrival on campus in Fall 2022. The Morgantown, W.Va., native has announced nearly 250 live competitions for Cornell Athletics, including 87 this academic year.
