MOUNT VERNON – Cornell junior
Peyton Souhrada has been selected to the
2025 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region Softball Second Team in Region IX.
Souhrada was among three outfielders chosen to the region's 12-player second unit. All honorees advance for consideration on the NFCA Division III All-American Teams, which is announced May 28.
Also a second team pick in 2023, Souhrada is the first Ram to gain all-region accolades twice in a career since Melissa Orton (2017-18).
Last weekend, Souhrada was tabbed First Team All-Midwest Conference for the third consecutive season.
The left-handed Souhrada enjoyed another dynamic season at the plate, carrying a .436 batting average with 44 hits, 25 runs, 10 doubles, four triples, three home runs and 25 RBIs. She posted a .703 slugging percentage, the fourth-highest season clip ever by a Cornell player.
Souhrada is Cornell's career leader with a .414 batting average through 106 games played. She enters her final season with 125 career hits, ranking ninth on the program's all-time list.
The Rams finished 16-20 overall, 8-8 in the MWC.
