MOUNT VERNON – Cornell had eight student-athletes recognized on the
2024-25 NCAA Division III Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators.
Women's lacrosse was represented with three selections in fifth-year attacker
Cheyenne Greenenwald (biochemistry and molecular biology), senior defender
Tess Cooper (art history) and junior midfielder
Brynn Miroslavich (English/politics). Cooper earned the distinction for the third consecutive year, while Miroslavich claimed her second CSC honor.
Men's wrestling also fielded three honorees in senior 184-pounder
Cael McLaren (kinesiology), senior 149-pounder
Landon Card (biochemistry and molecular biology/religion) and sophomore 165-pounder
Brian Petry (biochemistry and molecular biology/secondary education). McLaren is a two-time selection.
The Rams had a pair of men's lacrosse recipients in senior defender
Torii Greiskalns (computer science) and senior attacker
Matt Norwood (computer science). Greiskalns was selected for the third year in a row. Norwood earned his second award.
The Academic All-America Teams will be announced July 8-9.
To be eligible for all-academic recognition, the nominee must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing, hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50, and have competed in 90 percent of the institution's total contests or started in 66 percent of the total competitions.
Wrestlers must be in the lineup for 70 percent of team scoring events or compete in their weight class at an NCAA qualifying meet.
