MOUNT VERNON – Cornell's football program has been recognized with seven student-athletes on the
2025 NCAA Division III Academic All-District Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators.
Senior wide receiver
Gavin Soukup (elementary education) heads Cornell's selections as a three-time honoree. Junior placekicker
Mitchell Frahm (elementary education) and junior defensive back
Joshua Martin (engineering) earned the distinction for the second year in a row.
Senior receiver
Silas Heimos (engineering), junior receiver
Elliott Dyrland (elementary education), sophomore defensive back
Carson Gill (kinesiology/K-12 education certification) and sophomore tight end
Evan Brase (undecided) were also honored for combined performance on the field and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-America Teams will be announced Jan. 27.
To be eligible for academic all-district recognition, the nominee must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing, hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 and have competed in 90 percent of the institution's contests OR started at least 66 percent of the institution's contests.
