MOUNT VERNON – Cornell's women's wrestling team will battle for NCAA individual berths at the
Region V Championships, contested Friday and Saturday at Simpson's Cowles Fieldhouse in Indianola.
Wrestling begins at 11 a.m. Friday and resumes at 11 a.m. Saturday with championship semifinals.

Boston Jacobs' Rams are among 15 teams in the regional field, which features seven nationally-ranked programs with No. 1 Iowa, No. 9 Quincy, No. 11 Wartburg, No. 15 Simpson, Nov. 18 Augustana, No. 23 UW-Stevens Point and No. 25 Dubuque.
The top three finishers in each of the 10 weight classes qualify for the NCAA Championships March 6-7 at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
Senior 160-pounder
Olivia Cotton heads Cornell's four regional competitors with a 27-10 record, highlighted by 14 technical falls and seven pins. She is No. 5 in the region rankings at her weight.

Cheyenne Mulford (18-16) at 117 and sophomore
Averi Burke (6-14) at 138 also bring back regional experience from a year ago. Freshman
Tori Maxey (10-8) will make her regional debut in the 180-pound division.
