MOUNT VERNON – Coach
Jerry Monner's Cornell Rams hauled in
All-Midwest Region awards in nine events for the 2026 indoor track & field season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The region's top eight individuals in each event, including relays, earned the distinction.
Senior
Isaac vanWestrienen gained all-region status in the 3000 and 5000 races for the third consecutive year. He's now an eight-time indoor all-region honoree.
Senior
Chase Staker (400, 4x400 relay) and junior
Hadley Beaty (200, long jump) were recognized in two events. Senior
Jaxin McGuire (4x400 relay), juniors
Jake Bach (mile) and
Jensen Meeker (4x400 relay) and freshman
Blaine Dohrmann (4x400 relay) also represented Cornell's men's team.
On the women's side, senior
Hailey Carolan earned all-region indoor accolades in the high jump for the fourth consecutive year. Senior
Ava Claussen-Tubbs was awarded in the 800.
VanWestrienen, Bach and Claussen-Tubbs continue their terrific seasons at this weekend's NCAA Division III Championships in Birmingham, Ala.
VanWestrienen competes in the 5000 at 5:05 p.m. Friday, and the 3000 at 5:50 p.m. Saturday. Bach runs in the mile prelims at 2:50 p.m. Friday. Claussen-Tubbs is scheduled for the 800 prelims at 3:45 p.m. Friday.
