HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Cornell women's lacrosse team finished their spring break trip on Friday, falling to Swarthmore, 19-3.

 Swarthmore (5-1) came into the game averaging 16.2 goals per game and showed from the start that they were an offensive force, scoring seven goals in the first 7:30 of the game.

Hailey Sieler scored an unassisted goal at the 6:27 mark of the first to put the Rams on the board.

Following Sieler's goal, the Garnets ran off another streak of seven goals before
Cassie Clay scored for Cornell (0-5) at the start of the third period.
Ava Ferencz added a goal for the Rams with 2:46 to go in the game.

Kimora Florence and
Ilsa Jeffery each picked up two ground balls for Cornell.
Sabrina Ibanez won five draw controls and Ferencz caused two turnovers.

On Tuesday the Rams tumbled to Husson (3-1) at Hilton Head, 12-8.

Brynn Miroslavich scored three goals for the Rams and
Natalie Hudgins netted two.
Evi Reedy, Ibanez and Ferencz each finished with a goal.

The Rams picked up 26 ground balls, with
Cassie Clay leading the way with six.
Hannah Miech had five and
Kailey McFarlin scooped up four. Miech also had 10 saves in the net for Cornell.

Coming up – The Rams return home to face Augsburg at Van Metre Field at Ash Park on Tuesday. Game time is 5:00 pm.
