Saturday's other quarterfinal pits No. 4 seed MSOE (7-10) against No. 5 seed Concordia Wisconsin (7-8). Top-seeded and defending champion Lake Forest (11-4) hosts the winner on April 29.
The championship is May 2 at the highest remaining seed for an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Cornell beat Edgewood a week ago in Mount Vernon, rallying from a two-goal deficit in the final six minutes for an 8-7 victory.
The Rams, who finished 4-5 in the NACC, have played six games decided by a single goal this spring. On Wednesday, Cornell dropped a hard-fought 7-6 decision at home to Aurora, its potential second-round opponent.
Cornell is 0-3 all-time in the conference tournament. Last year, the Rams were edged 11-10 in a home quarterfinal against MSOE.
The Rams feature a balanced attack with four scorers topping the 25-point mark, led by sophomore
Ava Ferencz's 33 points. Senior
Brynn Miroslavich has netted a team-high 24 goals, followed by Ferencz (22),
Cassie Clay (21) and
Sabrina Ibanez (17).
Ferencz leads the NACC with 4.6 ground balls per game. Her 69 total ground balls rank No. 3 on Cornell's single-season list.
Ilsa Jeffery stands No. 5 in the NACC with 2.3 caused turnovers per game.
Senior goalie
Hannah Miech is Cornell's career saves leader, posting 106 this season.
Edgewood is led by Christina Eloe with 37 goals and a NACC-best 73 ground balls.
