Trent Devore and freshman
Jack Saunders have been honored on the
2025-2026 All-Midwest Conference Men's Tennis Teams as announced by the MWC office Wednesday morning. Both Devore and Saunders earned spots on the 10-player all-MWC singles and 10-player all-MWC doubles teams.
Devore played at the No. 1 singles and doubles positions in Cornell's lineup. He completed his junior campaign with an overall record of 24-34 and garnered MWC performer of the week honors once. Devore has collected 93 wins through three seasons at the Hilltop putting him at No. 10 on the all time career wins list. This is Devore's third all-conference doubles selection, and second singles selection of his career.
Saunders competed primarily at the No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles positions for the Rams this season, collection a team best 34-26 record. His 18 doubles wins and 16 singles wins were tops on the team this season, earning him his first all-MWC singles and doubles selections of his career.
Saunders was a singles finalist at the MWC Individual Championships this past weekend at the No. 2 bracket. Devore was a singles semi-finalist at No. 1. Both teamed up for a semi-final appearance at the No. 1 doubles bracket.
The Rams have collected fourteen all-conference selections, the 2023 #1 doubles champions, and six individual finalists over the past five seasons.
Cornell finished 14-12 overall, 4-2 in conference duals. The Rams finished third in the MWC race for the fourth consecutive season, and earned the No. 3 seed in the MWC Team Tournament this past weekend.
