MOUNT VERNON – Cornell has landed five student-athletes on the
2026 NCAA Division III Academic All-District Softball Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators.
Junior first baseman
Elise Oleson (elementary education) heads Cornell's honorees, earning the distinction for the second year in a row.
Junior designated player
Linnea Drever (business analytics), junior catcher
Corrin Kennedy (kinesiology), junior second baseman
Brianna Risley (psychological sciences) and junior pitcher/outfielder
Lauren Summers (elementary education) also represented the Rams with academic all-district awards.
To be eligible for recognition, the nominee must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing, hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50, and have competed in 90 percent of the institution's total contests or started in 66 percent of the total competitions.
Institutions are limited to five nominations.
The CSC Academic All-America Teams will be announced June 16.
