MOUNT VERNON – Cornell's 2026 softball team established a new program bench mark with seven players earning All-Midwest Conference honors, it was announced Saturday at the conclusion of the MWC Tournament.

Senior outfielder Peyton Souhrada, junior catcher Corrin Kennedy and junior designated player Linnea Drever were recognized on the 15-player All-MWC First Team.

The Rams fielded four second team selections in junior pitcher Lauren Summers, junior shortstop Brooke Furman, sophomore outfielder Alexa Corona and junior first baseman Elise Oleson (at-large).

Cornell's seven all-conference picks are the most of any MWC team and topped the school record of six honorees in 2015.

Souhrada made history as a first-team pick for the fourth consecutive season. She joined Jillea Monroe (1992-95) as the only Rams to garner first team accolades four times in a career.

Souhrada hit .368 during the regular season with 19 runs, 12 doubles and 26 RBIs. She owned the team's longest hitting streak of the season at 12 games and reached base safely in 18 consecutive games prior to Saturday's finale.

Souhrada graduates as one of the program's all-time greats with career totals of 170 hits, 92 runs, 87 RBIs and 45 doubles in 148 games for the Rams.

Kennedy, a second team choice in 2025, entered the postseason with an MWC-best 32 RBIs. The strong-armed catcher ranked second in the league in hits (51) and total bases (82), third in batting average (.451) and slugging percentage (.726), and seventh in runs (30). The two-time MWC Performer of the Week collected 12 doubles, two triples and five home runs while leading the team with 15 stolen bases and 17 multi-hit games.

Drever enjoyed a breakout junior campaign at the plate. She led the MWC in total bases (84) and ranked second in doubles (15) and slugging percentage (.757), third in hits (49) and home runs (6), and fifth in RBIs (28). Drever had a team-best on-base streak of 20 games and posted nine multi-RBI games.

Summers made an impact on the pitching staff in her first season with the Rams. The right-hander led the team with 25 appearances, 21 in relief. Summers went 7-5 in the regular season with a 4.07 earned run average over 75.2 innings.

Furman turned in her most productive offensive season, hitting .369 with 30 runs, eight doubles and 20 RBIs. She accounted for 14 multi-hit games and a team-high 73 assists from her shortstop position.

Corona earned second team honors for the second straight year. The center fielder and leadoff hitter batted .277 with 27 runs and 21 RBIs. Corona stole seven bases in eight attempts.

Oleson was named second team all-MWC for the third consecutive season. She blasted four home runs, three coming in the regular-season finale against Ripon. Oleson hit .314 with 15 doubles and 30 RBIs (second-most in the MWC).

The Rams closed the season at 24-18 overall under first-year head coach Robin Brand. Cornell earned the No. 4 seed in this week's MWC Tournament, where it went 1-2.
