Start time moved to 11:30 a.m. for Sept. 5 football opener at Coe

MOUNT VERNON – The start time for Cornell's football season opener at Coe Saturday has been adjusted due to extreme heat forecast.

Kickoff has been moved up 90 minutes to an 11:30 a.m. start at Clark Field in Cedar Rapids.

The Rams will face No. 22 nationally-ranked Coe in the 135th meeting of the oldest college football rivalry west of the Mississippi. Cornell returns 12 starters from last year's 4-6 finish.

Coe went 9-3 last season and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Playoffs.
