Women's soccer earns MWC Team Sportsmanship Award

MOUNT VERNON – Cornell has been named recipient of the 2024 Midwest Conference Women's Soccer Team Sportsmanship Award, it was announced Friday with the MWC's postseason honors.

The sportsmanship award honors the team that best exemplifies and upholds the MWC's sportsmanship ideals.

The young Rams had a season of growth under first-year head coach Sarah Campbell. Nine freshmen and sophomores started at least six matches this fall.

The team picked up shutout wins over Mount Mary and MWC foe Ripon. The Rams tied for seventh place in the MWC with a 1-5-1 record.
