Hailey Carolan delivered the second-best pentathlon performance in Cornell history at Friday's Finals Week Invitational, hosted by St. Ambrose.
Carolan won the pentathlon with an impressive total of 3,258 points, which stands No. 9 in NCAA Division III this indoor season. She threatened the school record of 3,370 points by 2018 all-American Libby Schnoor.
Carolan, a three-time all-American, tied her own school record in the high jump with a winning clearance of 5 feet, 6.5 inches, a mark that ranks No. 2 nationally.
Carolan also won the 60 hurdles (9.82) and shot put (29-3.25). She went 16-0.25 in the long jump and ran the 800 in 2:30.74.
Coming up – Cornell's full teams are back in action Jan. 25 for the Hilltop Invitational in Mount Vernon.
