WAVERLY – Sophomore newcomer
Jensen Meeker lowered the school record in the men's 400-meter dash for the third time this season, heading Cornell's performances Saturday at the Wartburg Last Chance Qualifier.
Meeker broke his own program standard by .14 seconds with a quick clocking of 49.49. He placed third out of 13 finishers in his final indoor race of the season.
Senior
Gabe Soda ran a personal-best 4:13.25 in the mile, taking 7th overall. His time ranks in the Top 100 nationally in Division III.
On the women's side, NCAA hopeful
Hailey Carolan was runner-up in the high jump with a mark of 5-4.50. She was runner-up.
Ava Claussen-Tubbs placed seventh in the 800, crossing in 2:18.85.
Coming up – The qualifiers list will be revealed Sunday for the NCAA Championships March 14-15 in Rochester, N.Y.
