Devore, Arnold, land on All-MWC Men's Tennis Teams

MOUNT VERNON – Cornell sophomores Trent Devore and Mills Arnold have been honored on the 2024-2025 All-Midwest Conference Men's Tennis Teams as announced by the MWC office Wednesday morning. 

Devore eared a spot on both the 10-player all-MWC singles and 10-player all-MWC doubles teams. Arnold landed on the all-MWC doubles team. 

Devore played at the No. 1 singles and doubles positions in Cornell's lineup. He completed his sophomore campaign with an overall record of 31-23 and garnered MWC performer of the week honors two times. Devore has collected 69 wins through two seasons at the Hilltop, good for top 20 all time in program history. This is Devore's second all-conference doubles selection, and first singles selection of his career. 

Arnold competed at the No. 1 doubles and No. 4 singles positions for the Rams this season, collecting a team best 35-17 record. His 18 doubles wins this season ties a team high, earning him his first all-MWC selection of his career. Arnold has now reached 71 career wins, also good for top 20 in program history. 

Devore and Arnold were both singles finalists in their respective brackets at the 2024 MWC Individual Championships. 

The Rams have collected ten all-conference selections, the 2023 #1 doubles champions, and four other individual finalists over the past four seasons.

Cornell finished 16-9 overall, 4-2 in conference duals. The Rams finished third in the MWC race for the third consective season, and earned the No. 3 seed in the MWC Team Tournament this past weekend.
