ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Midwest Conference champion
Ava Claussen-Tubbs came within one second of her school record in the women's 800-meter run at Wednesday's Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier hosted by Augustana College.
Claussen-Tubbs placed 13th out of 38 finishers with a time of 2:13.75. She entered the day ranked 38th nationally (2:12.65) in the event.
Junior
Hailey Carolan, also fresh off an MWC title last weekend, took runner-up in the high jump with a mark of 5 feet, 4.5 inches. She stands ninth nationally (5-6.50).
Alyza Koppes ran a personal-best 4:43.98 in the 1500. She placed 13th in the 38-woman field.
Tyler Bilskie represented the Rams in the men's 1500, taking 39th in 4:08.91.
The list of NCAA qualifiers will be announced Friday. The NCAA Division III Championships are May 22-24 in Geneva, Ohio.
