MOUNT VERNON – Cornell's men are back in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Tournament for the fourth consecutive year, and Lake Forest is once again the opening opponent.

Lane Zierten's No. 4 seed Rams (6-8 overall, 1-3 MLC) face off with No. 1 Lake Forest (13-2 overall, 4-0 MLC) in a 1 p.m. semifinal Wednesday at Farwell Field in Lake Forest, Ill. Fans can follow the action via

No. 2 seed Dubuque (9-6 overall, 3-1 MLC) hosts No. 3 seed Northwestern (6-5 overall, 2-2 MLC) in Wednesday's other semifinal.
The championship game is Saturday and hosted by the top remaining seed. The MLC champion earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Cornell and Lake Forest square off in the MLC semifinal for the third year in a row. It will be the teams' sixth meeting since April 16, 2022. The Foresters are 5-0 all-time in the series, which includes a 17-7 win over the Rams in Mount Vernon in late March.
The Rams are led offensively by freshman
Charley Kobets (24 goals, 21 assists) and senior
Luke Baldwin (34 goals). Kobets ranks fifth in the MLC with 45 points.
Record-setting junior defender
Torii Greiskalns is second in the league in caused turnovers (46). He and
Ash Hoelscher rank third and fourth in ground balls with 96 and 71, respectively. Goalie
Thomas Cook has posted an MLC-best 175 saves.
The Foresters claimed the regular-season title for the second consecutive year. Lake Forest is 8-0 in home matches and ranks eighth nationally in scoring margin (+8.33 gpg).
