MOUNT VERNON – For the third time this season, Cornell senior attacker Kyle Jussila has been selected the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Offensive Performer of the Week.

Jussila delivered a stirring performance in his final home game Saturday, a 21-10 Senior Day win over Monmouth that helped the Rams (7-9 overall, 4-2 MLC) clinch the No. 3 seed in this week's MLC Tournament.

Jussila scored twice in the opening 1:34 and never let up. He filled up the stat sheet with eight goals and 12 points, both new single-game school records. Jussila added four assists, eight ground balls and attempted 21 shots in the contest.

Jussila became Cornell's all-time leader for points in a season with 74, while increasing his record goals total to 45. His 29 assists are tied for the most in a season by a Cornell player.

Jussila and the Rams carry momentum into Wednesday's MLC semifinal game against No. 2 seed Lake Forest (8-6 overall, 5-1 MLC) at 5:30 p.m. in Lake Forest, Ill. Cornell dropped a tight 10-7 contest at home to the Foresters on April 16.
