Crawford raised the standard for Cornell’s distance runners in cross country and track & field. The Boise, Idaho, native ended the program’s 15-year absence from the NCAA Cross Country Championships in 2008, when Crawford qualified and finished 65th.
Â
Crawford earned all-Iowa Conference honors in cross country three times, including a fourth-place showing in 2008. The two-time all-region performer broke Cornell’s 6K record and claimed 10 top-five individual finishes from 2005-08. She was named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual during her final two seasons.
Â
On the track, Crawford became the third female indoor all-American in school history with an eighth-place effort in the mile at the 2009 NCAA Championships. She collected four all-IIAC indoor medals, landing a spot on the podium in each of her four seasons.
Â
Crawford was the school-record holder in seven track events at one point in her career. She still holds the fastest indoor times in the 1000, mile and distance medley relay. Crawford received academic all-conference honors twice in cross country and three times in track & field.Â
